Tripolo understands that plans may change. Your guide will do their best to accommodate reasonable adjustments while ensuring the itinerary remains practical and enjoyable. Below is how itinerary changes work before and during your trip.
1. Making changes before your trip
If you need to update your plans before your travel day:
Message your guide through the Tripolo App
Share what you would like to change (locations, timing, pickups, preferences)
Your guide will update the itinerary if the change is feasible
We recommend requesting changes at least 48 hours in advance, so your guide has enough time to prepare. Please understand that last-minute changes requested within 48 hours may not be accommodated, depending on logistics or local conditions.
Changes may also be limited by:
Operating hours of destinations
Travel time and route feasibility
Weather or local conditions
Your guide will notify you if a requested change is not possible.
2. Changing the itinerary on the day of your trip
Some adjustments may still be possible on the day of your trip, such as:
Spending more or less time at a location
Adding a nearby stop
Skipping an activity
Adjusting routes based on conditions
However, major changes that alter the overall distance, schedule, or structure of the day may not be feasible due to:
The 8-hour itinerary limit
Traffic or transportation constraints
Entry requirements or ticket availability
Your guide will help suggest alternatives when appropriate.
3. Changing pickup time or meeting location
If you need to update your pickup time or meeting point:
Message your guide as early as possible
Provide clear details about the change
Your guide will confirm if the update fits the day’s plan
Last-minute requests may not be possible, especially within 48 hours of your trip.
4. Changing the number of travelers
If your group size changes before your trip:
Notify your guide as early as possible
The guide may adjust the itinerary to accommodate the new group size
Adjustments may be limited by the guide’s private transportation capacity, if the guide provides a private vehicle
Since activity fees are expected to be handled directly by you as travelers, your guide will not adjust costs for activities
If your group becomes too large for a single guide or vehicle, you may need to book an additional guide to ensure a comfortable and safe experience.
Your guide will advise you on what arrangements are possible.
5. Changes due to weather or local conditions
Your guide may adjust the itinerary for safety or practicality. This may include:
Reordering activities
Recommending indoor alternatives
Modifying travel routes
Informing you of closures or delays
Your guide will help keep your day enjoyable and safe.
6. Limits on What Can Be Changed
While your guide will try to support reasonable adjustments, certain elements of your trip cannot be changed once your booking is confirmed.
What cannot be changed
The date of your trip cannot be changed under any circumstances
Overall travel schedule (including day length, start date, or total days) cannot be adjusted
The itinerary cannot exceed the agreed 8-hour limit
Guides cannot support destinations that require long-distance travel or are far outside the originally planned region
Adding activities that require advance reservations may not be possible if they are already sold out or require early booking
What may be possible
Your guide may be able to accommodate changes within nearby cities or areas, as long as travel time remains reasonable, the route fits within the 8-hour day, and no major logistical issues arise. If the requested change is feasible, your guide will adjust the plan accordingly. If it is not possible, they will suggest reasonable alternatives.
If major changes are needed
If your desired changes exceed what is feasible—such as switching to a distant city or redesigning the day entirely—you may need to cancel and rebook according to the cancellation policy.
Tripolo Support is available through the app if you need assistance evaluating what is or isn’t possible.
