Tripolo’s Community Guidelines help ensure that both travelers and guides enjoy a respectful, safe, and meaningful experience. By using Tripolo, you agree to follow these guidelines throughout your interactions, from booking to completing your trip.
These standards apply to all travelers and guides on the platform.
1. Treat each other with respect
Tripolo is built on meaningful, human connections. We expect everyone to:
Communicate politely
Respect personal space and cultural differences
Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate language
Follow local customs and etiquette
Guides and travelers should feel comfortable throughout the experience.
2. Be honest and accurate
Honesty builds trust. Please:
Provide accurate information when planning your trip
Share clear expectations with your guide
Describe any special needs or limitations
Not misrepresent your identity or intent
Guides are also required to provide truthful and transparent information about their services.
3. Prioritize safety
Everyone is responsible for contributing to a safe environment. Travelers and guides must:
Follow local laws and regulations
Make safe choices during activities
Stay aware of their surroundings
Avoid risky or dangerous behavior
If something feels unsafe, pause the activity and follow Tripolo’s safety guidance.
4. Communicate responsibly
To protect privacy and maintain a record of your interactions:
Use in-app messaging for all communication before meeting
Do not request or share personal contact details prematurely
Avoid moving conversations to third-party apps
Report any suspicious or inappropriate messages
Respectful, clear communication fosters a better experience for everyone.
5. Respect conversational boundaries
To ensure a comfortable and professional environment:
Keep conversations focused on travel, culture, logistics, and trip-related topics
Avoid sensitive, controversial, or political discussions
Do not pressure your guide or traveler into personal or uncomfortable topics
Be mindful of cultural differences in communication styles
This creates a safe, neutral, and enjoyable space for both sides.
6. Keep payments inside the Tripolo App
To protect travelers and guides:
All guide booking fees must be paid within the Tripolo App
Never accept or send payments outside the app
Activity costs should be paid directly by you at the time they occur, not through your guide
This ensures transparency, security, and proper support if issues arise.
7. Honor commitments
Tripolo values reliability. Travelers and guides should:
Arrive on time
Communicate promptly if delays happen
Follow the agreed itinerary unless changes are discussed
Avoid unnecessary cancellations or last-minute changes
Reliability supports a smooth and enjoyable experience.
8. Maintain professionalism
Guides are expected to uphold high standards of professionalism. Travelers should also behave respectfully throughout the trip.
Inappropriate, aggressive, or harassing behavior is never tolerated.
9. Report issues promptly
If something doesn’t feel right:
Contact Tripolo Support through the app
Describe the concern clearly
Report promptly so we can take action
Your reports help keep the Tripolo community safe and trustworthy.
10. Violations of Community Guidelines
Tripolo may take action if a traveler or guide violates these guidelines, including:
Warnings
Temporary suspension
Restriction of platform features
Removal from Tripolo
Actions depend on the severity and frequency of the violation.
