What is Tripolo?

Tripolo is an app that connects travelers with independent local guides for private, day-long guided experiences. We're starting in China, with an invite-only pilot in Shanghai and Chengdu.

You bring the must-sees. Your local guide brings the know-how. Together, you plan the day in the app.

With Tripolo, you can:

• Explore at your own pace with a private guide, instead of a fixed group tour

• Get help getting around by metro, taxi or on foot (fares are paid separately)

• Bridge the language gap when ordering food, buying tickets, reading signs and talking with locals

• Discover local favorites, from street food to culture, history and hidden gems that match your interests

• Book with confidence: every guide's profile and ID is checked before their page goes live, and you pay securely in the app

Good to know

• Tripolo is a technology platform. Your guide provides the service directly. Tripolo is not a travel agency or tour operator and doesn't sell travel packages.

• The price you see covers your guide's time, with fees and taxes included. Tickets, transport and meals are paid separately.
