Your safety is the highest priority. If an emergency occurs during your trip, knowing what to do and who to contact can help you respond quickly and effectively. Tripolo provides support, but local authorities should always be your first point of contact in urgent or life-threatening situations.
1. In case of an emergency
If you are in immediate danger or facing a life-threatening situation:
Contact local emergency services first
Move to a safe, public location if possible
Once safe, notify Tripolo Support through the app
Local authorities are best equipped to respond quickly in urgent situations.
2. Emergency numbers in China
For travelers in China, the most commonly used emergency numbers are:
110 — Police
120 — Medical Emergency
119 — Fire Department
Your guide may assist with communication or translation if needed, but contacting local authorities should always be the first step in an emergency.
3. What your guide can assist with
Your guide may help you with:
Communicating with local authorities or staff
Navigating unfamiliar areas
Finding safe public places
Understanding local procedures
However, guides are not emergency responders. Always contact official services directly when urgent help is needed.
4. When to contact Tripolo Support
Once you are safe, contact Tripolo Support through the in-app Help section if:
You experienced a safety concern involving your guide
Your itinerary was impacted by an unexpected event
You need guidance after an emergency
Something disrupted your trip and you need assistance
During Early Access, Tripolo Support is available through an in-app form. Our team will review your message and follow up as soon as possible.
5. Preparing before your trip
To feel confident and prepared:
Keep a list of the emergency numbers above
Save your hotel information and important addresses
Make sure your phone is charged and has data access
Stay aware of your surroundings
Ask your guide for local safety tips at the start of your trip
6. After the incident
If something occurred during your trip that you believe Tripolo should be aware of:
Submit a report through Tripolo Support
Provide any relevant details or screenshots
Our team will review the issue and take appropriate action
Tripolo treats all safety-related reports seriously and confidentially.
