What Happens If a Guide Cancels

Tripolo understands that a guide canceling a trip—or failing to confirm your booking—can disrupt your plans. While these situations are uncommon, we have policies in place to ensure you are supported and treated fairly. 

 

If your guide cancels your booking 

If your guide cancels your trip at any time: 

  • Your guide’s booking fee will be fully refunded 

  • Processing fees may not be refundable 

  • The refund is issued automatically to your original payment method 

  • You will receive a notification in the Tripolo App and by email 

No action is needed from you to request the refund. 

 

If your guide does not confirm within 24 hours 

Guides must confirm bookings within 24 hours. If your guide does not confirm in time: 

  • Your booking will be automatically canceled 

  • Your guide’s booking fee will not be charged or will be fully refunded

  • Processing fees are not charged 

  • You will receive a notification in the app 

In this case, neither the guide’s booking fee nor processing fees will remain on your card. 

 

Finding another guide 

If your booking is canceled for any reason, you may: 

  • Browse other guides available on your trip date 

  • Contact guides through in-app messaging before booking 

  • Rebook at your convenience 

If you cannot find availability or need help choosing another guide, Tripolo Support is available to assist. 

 

Why a guide may cancel 

A guide may cancel due to: 

  • Unexpected emergencies 

  • Illness 

  • Scheduling conflicts 

  • Local disruptions or unsafe conditions 

  • Transportation issues 

Tripolo monitors cancellations closely to maintain high reliability and service standards.
