Clear communication with your guide is an important part of creating a smooth and enjoyable travel experience. Tripolo provides secure, in-app messaging tools that allow you to ask questions, share preferences, and coordinate trip details before your visit. 

 

1. Use in-app messaging for all communication 

All communication with your guide should take place through the Tripolo in-app chat. This ensures that: 

  • Your personal information stays private 

  • You and your guide have a central place to reference trip details 

  • Tripolo can assist if any issues arise 

  • Conversations remain secure and protected 

For safety and support purposes, Tripolo Support may review message history if needed to resolve issues or ensure proper conduct. 

For your protection, avoid moving conversations to external apps before your booking is confirmed. 

 

2. When you can start messaging 

You may message a guide: 

  • Before booking, if you have questions or want to confirm details 

  • After booking, to discuss preferences, meeting arrangements, or itinerary ideas 

Guides are encouraged to respond promptly, though response times may vary depending on local schedules and time zones. 

 

3. What you can ask your guide 

Before your trip, feel free to use in-app messaging to discuss: 

  • Questions about the guide’s experience or specialties 

  • Clarifications about activities or logistics 

  • Pickup time and meeting location 

  • Transportation and timing considerations 

  • Dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, or preferred pace 

  • Local recommendations 

Your guide is there to help you prepare and shape a better travel experience. 

 

4. Sharing personal preferences 

Clear communication helps your guide tailor the trip to your interests. You can share: 

  • Places or experiences you want to prioritize 

  • Your preferred pace: relaxed, moderate, or fast 

  • Interests such as food, history, art, nature, photography, nightlife, or family activities 

  • Any concerns or special requirements 

Your guide will use this information to build a personalized itinerary. 

 

5. During your trip 

Once you meet your guide in person, most coordination happens face to face. In-app messaging can still be used for: 

  • Confirming or updating meeting points 

  • Sharing locations if you become separated 

  • Contacting your guide before or after the day’s activities 

For urgent matters or unexpected situations, Tripolo Support is available through the app.
