How to Book a Guide

You book and plan everything with your guide in the Tripolo app. Here's how it works.

1. Set your trip details

After logging in to the Tripolo app, enter:

• Your destination city

• Your travel dates

• Who's coming along

Tripolo then shows you guides who are available for your plans.

2. Explore guides

For each guide you can:

• Watch their intro video

• Read their page, including services, languages and the kinds of days they offer

• Check ratings and reviews from other travelers

• Message them with questions before you book

You can also save guides to your Favorites to compare them before you decide.

A guide's page may include a sample itinerary. It shows their style, but it isn't a promise of specific stops. Your actual plan is the one you and your guide agree in the app.

3. Send a booking request

When you're ready, tap Book Now and tell your guide the places you want to see and what you're curious about.

Before you submit, you'll see the full price. It includes Tripolo's service fee and any applicable taxes, and nothing is added at checkout. Prices are in US dollars.

When you submit the request, your card is authorised for that amount but not yet charged. Before booking, check the Cancellation Policy so you know what's refundable.

4. Your guide confirms

Your guide reviews your request and confirms within 24 hours.

• If they confirm: your booking is confirmed with that guide, and your card is charged.

• If they decline or don't respond in time: the request is cancelled and the hold on your card is released. How long the release takes depends on your bank.

5. Plan the day together

Once your booking is confirmed, agree the meeting time and place, and share your preferred pace and any practical needs. Your guide will suggest a plan, and you shape it together in the app. See Customizing Your Itinerary.
